Mark your calendars for the virtual Kwanzaa Celebration 2020 – December 26 – January 1. Arts and Letters continue to bring awareness to our community to educate and celebrate our African-American heritage and culture during the 7-day holiday created by Dr. Maulana Karenga in 1966.

Our 2020 Kwanzaa Celebration “Connecting Community and Culture” is again being conducted in collaboration with the Riverdale Towne Center. Visit the RTC to see our Kwanzaa table display through January 1, 2021.

Check out our daily social media video posts representing each of the seven days of Kwanzaa, and videos on our YouTube channel on Kwanzaa and making a Zawadi (a Kwanzaa gift). The Committee is also preparing a Kwanzaa Activity Resource Listing to share activities to celebrate during the season.
